Live performance has a way of making people shine.
And we don't just mean the performers - a live performance will light up its audience too.
Experience live performances with YMCA Arts! The 2024/2025 Season will provide everyone of all ages with performances that are accessible, affordable, and fun, all in the comfort of the suburbs.
Join us at the BMO Theatre in Shane Homes YMCA at Rocky Ridge and the Evan Hazell Theatre at Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton for all our 2024/2025 performances.

Nutcracker (in a Nutshell)
Helping young people enjoy the magic of live theatre in a fuss-friendly performance, BachTots: Performing Arts for Babies, Toddlers, and Young Children returns to the YMCA with their fun and engaging tale of Nutcracker (in a Nutshell) this December!
Black Ballerina
Syreeta Hector's Black Ballerina focuses on the dualities within one's identity, along with her own blackness and indigeneity in relationship to classical ballet.
After gaining recognition at the SummerWorks Festival in 2019 and winning the Stratford Festival Lab Award for Research and Creation, Black Ballerina will hit the YMCA stages while on its international tour. Co-presented by Springboard Performance.
LiLuune by Jamie Konchak
The Festival of Animated Objects presents Jamie Konchak's LiLuune, a new, beautiful sea-side puppet tale for all ages. LiLuune explores themes of living along with nature, control and anxiety, embracing challenges, courage, moving beyond failure and inviting personal growth.
Intimate & Interactive, a Live Interview with Jason Ribeiro
Join Kate Stadel, General Manager of YMCA Arts at YMCA Calgary, for an engaging live interview with Jason Ribeiro, Ph.D., Vice-Chairman and President of Calgary Surge. This conversation is part of our "Intimate & Interactive" series, where industry leaders share insights and experiences. Buddy Holly Tribute
Buddy Holly Tribute is a dynamite two-act cabaret style show by Zachary Stevenson, featuring such hits as “That’ll Be the Day”, “Peggy Sue”, “Oh Boy and “Rave On”. Stevenson presents Buddy Holly so perfectly that we will seem to be watching a genuine replica of the nerdy, and hip young Texan here at the YMCA May 2025!
