Experience community programs beyond our main locations
Community YMCA is a growing hub of programs that serve individuals and clients beyond the traditional YMCA health & wellness facilities. These programs are found in all quadrants of the city and focus on areas such as:
- Youth leadership
- After-school
- Health and wellness
- Recreation
- Newcomers to Canada
- Indigenous peoples
- Global partnerships
Community YMCA ensures Calgarians have access to quality programs to help them grow, thrive, lead and belong. If you'd like to support these initiatives, contact Christy Repchuk, Director of Fund Development, at Christy.Repchuk@calgary.ymca.ca.
Indigenous Programs
Drop-in and registered programs that support Indigenous children, youth and families with cultural identity, leadership, recreation and connections to Calgary’s urban Indigenous communities.
LINC Programs
The LINC program helps newcomers to Canada improve their literacy skills - listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Through a variety of classes, newcomers gain confidence and integrate into life in Canada.
Youth Programs
Community Y's Youth focused programs include the YMCA Achievement Program, Tutoring Table, The Teen Vibe Experience, and the Alternative Suspension Program.
