Camp is an incredible place where kids can build confidence, connections, resilience and creativity through swimming, sports, the arts, canoeing, hiking, climbing, and more. Study after study shows that time at summer camp improves self-esteem, peer relationships, physical skills, leadership abilities, environmental awareness and more.
YMCA summer camps are incredible places where friendships blossom, self-confidence emerges, independence grows, and through it all, children and teens build resilience to help them face new challenges. This year, more than 9,000 campers will attend our summer camps at YMCA Calgary, Camp Chief Hector YMCA and Camp Riveredge YMCA – and 1 in 10 of them are only able to go because someone like you helped them.
A gift of $190 will send a child to a YMCA Calgary day camp, and a gift of $420 will send a kid to Camp Chief Hector YMCA for overnight camp. You can provide Calgary’s youth a life-changing experience they wouldn’t otherwise be able to afford.
Every child deserves the chance to go to camp, no matter their families’ financial circumstances. You can help!
