Stepping Out of Your Comfort Zone
Remember that nervous feeling you had on your first day at camp? That’s where growth begins, by stepping out of your comfort zone. This weekend, alumni relived that feeling, taking part in outdoor adventures like canoeing, climbing and the challenge course, and sharing stories and songs around the campfire. Camp has always been a place for healthy risk-taking and challenging your limits, and it was clear to everyone at Homecoming that this spirit still thrives, even as we all get older.
From Strangers to Friends
Camp is where friendships start, even with people you’ve just met. At Homecoming, new connections were formed and old ones reignited. Whether it was reminiscing about tipi life or hiking the same trails we did as campers, it was a reminder of how quickly camp turns strangers into lifelong friends.
A Place Where Everyone Belongs
Camp is where we all felt like we belonged, no matter where we came from. This weekend, alumni from different generations came together with their loved ones, showing that camp will always be a place that welcomes everyone, exactly as they are. Sitting around the tables in Hector Lodge, sharing stories and updates, we remembered that no matter how much time has passed, camp is still the place we all feel at home.
