5 years ago today, we opened the doors to the largest YMCA in the world.

Brigitte Edwards, Senior Director of Programs at YMCA Calgary, was the General Manager of Shane Homes YMCA at Rocky Ridge when it opened in 2018. “I can remember the anticipation the team felt after many months of preparation for this moment. The community was “a buzz” with the opening of this long-awaited facility, the largest YMCA in the world! Having the opportunity to open the Shane Homes YMCA as the first General Manager will forever be a highlight of my 25 year YMCA career.” - Brigitte Edwards, Senior Director of Programs
